BRIAN WIEFERING’S BIO

Brian Wiefering, full-time owner of WieFit (aka WieFit Nutrition, Group Fitness, and Personal Training), has been working with clients ranging from the professional athlete and physique competitor, to the person who just wants to improve their physique and live a healthier life.

Brian’s began the WieFit Wellness Program in 2010 and works with many companies and institutions including KHL, Seneco, Dunnhumby, Celanese, and City of Erlanger just to name a few. Brian helps these companies in increasing work productivity through educating employee’s on Healthy Eating and Exercise.

Brian works with many Athletic Programs of all sports ranging from professional teams to recreational teams.

Brian specializes in presenting the basic science of how food works within your body into a format that is easy to understand, entertaining, and most of all is USEFUL!

Brian was previously a High School Teacher at Highlands High School, teaching Exercise Science and Sports Medicine, where he coached the women's soccer teams for 8 years.

Brian has been a repeated guest speaker on 700 WLW speaking as an expert trainer and nutrition advisor with his help for Professional athletes such as the Cincinnati Red’s Homer Bailey, the Minnesota Viking’s Kyle Rudolph, and the Cincinnati Bengal’s Otis Hudson and Jonathen Fanene. And just recently on WLW, Brian was guest speaker sharing his thoughts on the suspension of the New York Yankee’s Alex Rodriguez’ for the use of Performance Enhancement Drugs, along with his overall view of PED’s in Professional Sports.

Brian was also a guest presenter on Q102’s “Amy’s Table”, and DXL Radio, which aired on over 500 stations.

Brian has written for Planet Muscle, Beverly’s No Nonsense Newsletter, REPS Magazine, and Muscle and Fitness Magazine. Brian has been featured hundreds of times in Fitness Magazines, including 9 Muscle and Fitness magazine Covers, with the most recent cover in January, 2014’s Muscle and Fitness Book, “Muscle and Fitness 360”. Muscle and Fitness has asked Brian to Guest Blog on their Website, write for their magazine, and present videos relevant to Nutrition and Exercise which began in 2011.

In 2006, Brian was ranked as being one of the “top 20 lifetime natural/drug-tested bodybuilders in the world”, and plays an active role in seeking to “clean up” the use of anabolic steroids and Growth Hormone in the sport of Bodybuilding, which has ventured to all major sports including baseball, basketball, and football; and has made drug free training a staple of his presentations to athletes ranging from Junior high to the professional level. Even though Brian does not compete in Bodybuilding anymore, his extensive knowledge of how to maximize strength and conditioning levels of athletes through the power of food and specialized training, rather than performance enhancing drugs, has allowed him to work One on One with many top NFL athletes and has been called on by many NCAA Division 1 and Professional Strength Training Coach’s to help maximize their programs for their athletes.

Brian began WieFit Nutrition 12 years ago, and in 2007 he decided to put all his focus in running WieFit full-time. He was formally employed with Genetica DNA Laboratories where he gave 7 years of service. Before that, he was employed for 6 years as Major Accounts Director CBLD, a subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell. Brian moved WieFit Nutrition from his home to a full time Fitness Studio in July, 2009 located at 846 Monmouth Street in Newport Kentucky. In 2011, Brian expanded the business by purchasing the facility right next to their current facility. The wall in between the two buildings was opened, and now the WieFit facility is approximately 5200 sq feet. This extra space has allowed Brian to train full teams, add Large Group Fitness Classes, and expand to help alleviate the demand for Athletic training in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area. Brian also uses this space in giving presentations to business’ that have hired WieFit to manage or be a part of their Wellness Programs.

Brian Wiefering’s WieFit was awarded the “BEST NEW BUSINESS AWARD” by the Newport Business Association in 2012, Best Personal Trainers in 2013, and Best Fitness Studio in 2014 by CityBeat Magazine, which was selected from all Fitness Studios in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati! Brian was also selected as “2013’s Best Club Coach” by the US Kentucky Soccer Federation.

WieFit currently has over 20,000 active clients. WieFit has a base of over 500,000 people who have contacted him about diet or exercise. It can be said that based on his companies face to face clients, online clients, and clients who have read his articles or were in attendance for one of his presentations that over 10,000,000 people, in one form or another, eat and/or exercise in a better way due to Brian Wiefering’s WieFit!

Brian graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 1996 with his Bachelor’s of Science Degree. Brian volunteers his knowledge of living healthy and his love for children by volunteering and presenting at area schools including the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky (CHNK), where he helped institute a wellness program for the Children. Along with coach Highlands High School Varsity Soccer Program, he volunteers his time as head coach of his daughters U15 Kings Hammer Soccer team.

WieFit just recently donated $25,000 to assist in a new Track and Turf Field at the Fort Thomas Complex at Tower Park, which will allow for greater community enjoyment by all.

Brian is a lifelong resident of Fort Thomas, Ky. Brian has has four wonderful daughters.
